Bizarre monsters that have no form to truly call their own. While taking a humanoid appearance when interacting with people, their natural form (if such a form exists) is unknown to any, possibly even the Shifters themselves. All Shifters have the Shapeshift skill, making the Memorize and Shift abilities available from the monster actions menu at any time. Up to four shapes can be memorized at a time, and can be shifted to during battle later. Shifters can equip weapons and armor, but if they shift into a form that can't, the equipment is rendered unusable until the end of battle. A Shifter's ability to change forms and biology allows them to successfully breed with any other monster.
